Dear Sarah...

Dear Sarah,

It really sucks that you couldn't come to the show with me tonight. So I will tell you all about it.

I got there around 7:45 or so I think. I, yet again, had to bust out the quarters 'cause I don't have any money. It was awesome.

I found a few people I knew, but most of the crowd were people I had never even seen before. This was bizarre. There were also TONS of really young kids there for some reason.

The first band was called The Anti-Socials. I wasn't such a big fan of them. Their lead singer looked like he hadn't slept in about three years, and he couldn't "sing" either. Oh well. I just wandered around during their set.

The Boyscout Dropouts were really good! I don't want to go on about it too much because I know you wanted to see them more than IV4K...and I can't blame you. They played "Pretty Girl" and "Your Boyfriend" and it reminded me of you, I then cursed whoever it was who decided they needed you in their wedding this weekend. They played some really fucking good new songs too as well as fun cover songs. They also took their shirts off and it reminded me of the first time I saw them in 9th grade when they were all playing in their boxers. I am going to get a copy of their E.P. for you. Some thirteen year old kid kind of rushed the stage, it was strange, scary, and hilarious. He kept calling them posers and telling them to get off the stage, it made me laugh "Hahahahaha" (just like that).

There was this crazy smoke machine thing. It was crazy. It gave me a headache but Rick kissed my head to make it feel better. It only kind of worked, but it's the thought that counts.

All of the boys from Zero to Sixty Never were there. The one, Alex, started talking to me and then realized that I may or may not know who he is. He asked, and I said I knew him but didn't know his name. He made me guess. It was embarassing, I just started going through all of those boys' names. "Dan?", "No.", "Elliott?", "No.", "Mike?", "No! We don't even have a Mike in our band!!"..."Well...you're not Jeff..."..."You're right, I'm not Jeff." .....I felt really bad that he knew who I was but I didn't know him. It was funny. (that was probably the most pointless story ever)

I hung out with JonStover's ex-girlfriend, Kathleen, for a little while. She's super nice. She was there with Andy's stalker. She just stared at me. Creepy, indeed!

Kodos played, but I left before their set was done. They had tons of energy and people were really into it. They played the staples, "Todd", "Calc Lecture Girl", "Pastaroni", etc. You know the drill. They seemed to be having a really good time though, which was awesome. Chris sounded really good on the guitar, and he did that thing where he wanders around while he plays, which was fun. I stood really close to the stage with Kate and Punk Rock Karl, they are such great kids. I wish I saw them as much as I used to. Jon and Nick from BSDO were doing the Macarena during IV4K's set. It was funny! Kathleen tried to teach it to me, but that didn't go so well.

Just so you know, the Loft was already handing out fliers for the Joshua Circle show on the 14th. Rock!

I wish you could have come to the show. That would have been so awesome. We would have rocked it hardcore. We will just have to make up for it at the Erin/Sarah Birthday show on the 14th, eh? It will be good. I hope you had tons of fun at the wedding, I'm sure you did...ugly dress aside. You should call me when you get back from Huntley and we can hang out.

This is longer than I meant it to be.

Love,

Erin
